These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Expat Maids website, applications, and the recruitment, visa, typing, and domestic worker services we provide (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, or engaging us for any Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or Services. These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of the United Arab Emirates to use our Services or engage Expat Maids as a sponsor or employer of a domestic worker. By using our Services, you represent that the information you provide is true, accurate, current, and complete, and that you will keep it updated.

Expat Maids is a domestic worker services centre licensed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) in the United Arab Emirates. Subject to applicable law and separate service agreements, we may provide:

• Full-time live-in and live-out domestic worker placement;
• Recruitment of domestic workers from source countries;
• Visa sponsorship, renewal, and cancellation support;
• Government typing and documentation services;
• Ongoing client support and replacement services where applicable.

The specific scope, fees, guarantees, and obligations for any engagement are set out in the individual service contract or invoice you sign or accept. Where these Terms conflict with a signed service contract, the signed service contract prevails.

Fees for our Services are quoted at the time of engagement and are payable in accordance with the terms stated in your service contract or invoice. All fees are in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise stated and may be subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) and other government charges as required by law.

Government fees, visa costs, medical fees, insurance, and third-party charges are passed on at cost and are non-refundable once incurred, as they are paid to the relevant authorities. Late or non-payment may result in suspension of the Service and, where a domestic worker is sponsored through us, may affect the validity of the sponsorship arrangement.

Any right to cancel a Service or receive a refund is governed by your individual service contract and by applicable UAE law. Amounts already paid to government bodies or third parties on your behalf are non-refundable. Where a replacement guarantee applies to a placement, it is subject to the conditions, timeframes, and exclusions stated in that service contract. Requests to cancel or amend a Service must be made in writing to us.

When engaging our Services, you agree to:

• Treat any domestic worker placed with you lawfully, fairly, and with dignity, in line with UAE labour and domestic worker regulations;
• Provide the wages, accommodation, food, rest days, and working conditions required by law and by the employment contract;
• Pay all applicable fees on time and in full;
• Provide accurate information and valid documentation required for visa, sponsorship, and typing services;
• Not subject any worker to harassment, abuse, withholding of documents, or unlawful treatment.

Failure to meet these obligations may result in termination of the Service and may be reported to the relevant authorities as required by law.

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, icons, and software, is the property of Expat Maids or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the website without our prior written consent.

You agree not to use our website or Services to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
• Transmit any virus, malware, or code intended to disrupt or damage our systems or those of other users;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website, servers, or connected systems;
• Use any automated means to scrape, harvest, or collect data from the website without our written permission.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or services that are not owned or controlled by Expat Maids. We provide these links for your convenience only and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party site. Your dealings with any third party are solely between you and that third party.

Our website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. While we take reasonable care to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any information is complete or current. Engagement of a domestic worker involves inherent risks that cannot be fully eliminated.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable UAE law, Expat Maids and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the website or Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a Service shall not exceed the fees you paid to us for that specific Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Expat Maids and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your unlawful treatment of any domestic worker placed with you.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the applicable laws of the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

We may update or amend these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, the law, or our business practices. Any changes take effect when posted on this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of our website or Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
